My heart and thoughts go out to my friends on the Eastern Seaboard of the USA and in Eastern Canada who are in the path of Hurricane Sandy. The power of nature is awesome and at the same time terrifying. I hope you are all able to stay safe . . .
We dodged a blow in central Virginia. My power even stayed on. And, I got a four day weekend out of it, even though I spent two 12 hours shifts at the Emergency Operations Center.
I, too, feel for those in Northern Virginia and Washington, DC, and those father up the coast who are suffering from major flooding, massive power outages, and other not-so-nice results of a major weather event.
